Golf

Our 6,921 yard, 18 hole course was designed in 1925 by the renowned architect Donald Ross and updated by Dan Schlegel (based on the original Ross design) in 2006. Surrounded by ligustrums, azaleas, iris, agapanthus and other lush foliage the par 72 course has multiple tees each offering a challenging game of golf for all levels of play. Our practice facility provides plenty of opportunity to hone your skills with a putting green, driving range, and short game area with a chipping green and two bunkers. An award-winning 1800-square foot golf shop is fully stocked with the latest in equipment and supplies, as well as top fashions for men, women and juniors. Our active tournament schedule is supported by an exceptional staff of golf professionals who provide all levels of service for our men's, women's and junior golf programs.

The Men's Golf Association supports a number of tournaments such as the SJCC Ryder Cup, Lion's Pride Men's Member-Guest, The Classic Senior Men's Member-Guest, Member-Member, Match Play Putting Championship, Wednesday Night Men's Golf, Superintendent's Revenge Shootout, and MGA Breakfast Tournaments. The MGA also created the Cusick Cup, awarded annually to the most consistent player at MGA events during the year.

Our Ladies Golf Association has two groups, the 18-Hole Group play on Tuesdays and the 9-Hole Group plays on Thursdays with an active schedule of competitive events and interclubs, as well as their own Member-Guest and Invitationals.

Our Junior Golf program provides your child with the proper foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game. We even have a separate set of "Challenger" tees for juniors. Junior Clinics are offered on Thursdays year-round, and Summer Golf Camps are a big hit in June and July. In spring & fall, we participate in the PGA Junior League Golf program with multiple teams in each league. We feature a Junior Club Championship and two separate Parent-Junior events every year.

From May to October 2020 our golf course will be undergoing renovations to include drainage and irrigation upgrades, re-grassing of tees and fairways with Celebration and greens with Tif Eagle, restroom upgrades, cart paths, bulkhead removal and new landscaping. We have reciprocal arrangements with more than 40 courses for our members while the course is closed, as well as many planned events and trips with our golf professionals.
